Print (thumbnails of) multiple pages on one page

I’ve got a set of very crap Computer Science notes in PDF that I need to print and learn. Because I don’t want to waste 35 sheets of paper, and because each page is just a Powerpoint slide, I want to print 4 pages on a page (like many lecturers do with Powerpoint slides).

But Adobe Acrobat’s print dialogue doesn’t have an option to do this. Neither does my printer driver. Is there another program I can use to do this?

Have you ever tried FinePrint (http://www.fineprint.com)? :)

Hm….File -> print
Properties, 4 slides per page, works fine for me, with Acrobat6

macSF: No I haven’t, thanks for the link.

dan: Hmm. Is that the ‘Properties’ button in the ‘Printer’ sub-box? If so then that feature is available because of your printer. And mine doesn’t have that feature :-(

It might be a bit late now, but I have a converter that will convert PDF files into RTF. I assume you could then open the RTF file in something, perhaps even PowerPoint, and adjust the printing settings. Only downside is that it will only do text, not graphics.

Let me know if you’re interested.

From the Adobe Reader go to File-> Pring -> Page Handling -> Page Scaling -> Multiple papers per sheet

then choose 2*2 and print
