Template engines in PHP

Just as I was going to start compiling a list of PHP template engines I find that Harry’s “started one”:http://www.sitepointforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=123769&mode=linear&perpage=25&pagenumber=1 on SitePoint. I just hope someone compiles a complete stand-alone list once the thread is finished.

There’s also a “TemplateView”:http://wact.sourceforge.net/index.php/TemplateView wiki entry in the WACT wiki explaining how the author feels templates should be used. In his words: @A TemplateView uses a template to implement the View portion of the ModelViewController pattern.@
